To change the packaging placed on the European market so that it is more recyclable, better designed, more reusable and less dependent on virgin raw materials.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n  <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"b-text b-0 theme-lighter py-lg\">\n\t<div class=\"row\">\n\t\t<div class=\"col-12 md:col-8 md:offset-2 grid items-start grid-cols-1  gap-sm\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\n\n    \n<div class=\"m-cardText flex flex-col rounded-xlg p-lg tx-center items-center theme-white\">\n      \n  <div class=\"m-textContent -center\"><p class=\"tx-pmd\">The PPWR applies directly in all European Union Member States. <strong>There is no need to wait for it to be transposed into French law<\/strong>: businesses must prepare for the new rules now !<\/p>\n<p class=\"tx-pmd\">With the right guidance, the PPWR is above all an opportunity to change your practices and prepare confidently for the future and for the EPR scheme for professional packaging (EPRO).<\/p>\n<p class=\"tx-pmd\">So, before the regulations turn up the heat, we suggest taking a breather: we break down the PPWR, explain what is changing and guide you step by step so you can approach these new requirements with confidence.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n  <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n    \n\n  \n\n\n\n<section class=\"row gap-y-md tx-center b-sectionCards py-lg\">\n          \n      <h2 class=\"tx-balance tx-tlg lg:col-8 lg:offset-2\">Two mechanisms, one goal<\/h2>\n    \n      <div class=\"m-textContent -center md:col-6 md:offset-3 \"><p class=\"tx-pmd\">The PPWR is being implemented as EPRO is rolled out in France. This can create some confusion between the two mechanisms. <\/p>\n<p class=\"tx-pmd\">Yet they do not address the same question.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n    \n      \n          <div class=\"m-gridCenter\">\n                                                          \n\n\n<article class=\"m-cardContent flex flex-col tx-center gap-md p-lg rounded-xlg theme-white align-self-stretch\">\n  \n  \n  \n      <h3 class=\"tx-balance tx-tmd\">PPWR<\/h3>\n    \n            <p class=\"tx-psm\">The PPWR, which has applied since 12 August 2026, sets the rules for packaging design and for placing packaging on the market: recyclability, reduction of hazardous substances, recycled content, reuse, reduction of overpackaging and labelling.<\/p>\n      \n  <\/article>\n                                                          \n\n\n<article class=\"m-cardContent flex flex-col tx-center gap-md p-lg rounded-xlg theme-white align-self-stretch\">\n  \n  \n  \n      <h3 class=\"tx-balance tx-tmd\">EPRO<\/h3>\n    \n            <p class=\"tx-psm\">EPRO, which comes into effect on <strong>1 January 2027<\/strong>, organises and finances the management of packaging once it becomes waste, contributing in particular to collection, sorting, recycling and reuse.<\/p>\n      \n  <\/article>\n              <\/div>\n    \n        \n          <\/section>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"b-text b-0 theme-lighter\">\n\t<div class=\"row\">\n\t\t<div class=\"col-12 md:col-8 md:offset-2 grid items-start grid-cols-1  gap-sm\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\n\n    \n<div class=\"m-cardText flex flex-col rounded-xlg p-lg tx-center items-center theme-white\">\n      <h2 class=\"tx-balance tx-tmd-alt mb-md\">In summary:<\/h2>\n      \n  <div class=\"m-textContent -center\"><p class=\"tx-pmd\"><strong>The PPWR mainly addresses packaging design, while EPR supports its end-of-life management.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"tx-pmd\">The two mechanisms are therefore complementary. Actions taken for one can help you meet the requirements of the other: useful steps towards your overall compliance. Packaging that is well designed under the PPWR (recyclable, lighter, with recycled content) will gradually cost you less under EPR, thanks to eco-modulation, which rewards the most environmentally responsible packaging.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n  <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"b-text b-0 theme-lighter py-lg\">\n\t<div class=\"row\">\n\t\t<div class=\"col-12 md:col-8 md:offset-2 grid items-start grid-cols-1  gap-sm\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\n\n\n<div class=\"m-cardText flex flex-col rounded-xlg  tx-center items-center\">\n      <h2 class=\"tx-balance tx-tlg mb-md\">Who is subject to the PPWR?<\/h2>\n      \n  <div class=\"m-textContent -center\"><p class=\"tx-pmd\">The regulation covers all packaging, regardless of its material, format or use. Sales, grouped or transport packaging: professional packaging is fully covered, including cardboard boxes, pallets, film, crates and industrial packaging.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"tx-pmd\">The regulation covers, in particular, businesses that manufacture, import, distribute or place packaging or packaged products on the market in the European Union.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n  <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"b-text b-0 theme-lighter py-lg\">\n\t<div class=\"row\">\n\t\t<div class=\"col-12 md:col-8 md:offset-2 grid items-start grid-cols-1  gap-sm\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\n\n\n<div class=\"m-cardText flex flex-col rounded-xlg  tx-center items-center\">\n      <h2 class=\"tx-balance tx-tlg mb-md\">What will gradually change for your packaging<\/h2>\n      \n  <div class=\"m-textContent -center\"><p class=\"tx-pmd\">The PPWR will gradually change the rules applicable to packaging, from design to end of life.
