Who are you?

Packaging waste holder

Do you hold professional packaging waste? What if it were worth more than you think?

If your activities generate professional packaging waste (cardboard, film, pallets, drums or cardboard boxes), you are involved in the EPR scheme for professional packaging (EPRO) as a waste holder. At Twiice, we help you turn this regulatory framework into financial, operational and organisational benefits.

Our experts support you with your regulatory obligations and beyond: governance, employee awareness, financial support for reuse or recycling initiatives, innovation and flow optimisation.

Are you subject to EPR?

EPRO primarily applies to producers placing professional packaging on the French market.

However, as a packaging waste holder, you are also involved in the scheme: you play an essential role in achieving its objectives and may be eligible for support.

Your obligations, explained simply

Good news: EPRO does not create major new obligations for packaging waste holders. It is mainly based on waste management rules that are already in force.

As a waste holder, your role is first and foremost to manage your packaging waste in compliance with the rules. In practice, you must:

Producer and packaging waste holder statuses often go together.

Our questionnaire helps you quickly identify your obligations under EPRO. CTA : Start the packaging flow analysis.

Does my sector have specific requirements?

Learn more about EPR in your sector

Every sector is subject to EPR, but each has its own specific features. Twiice has the tools to support you while taking your sector’s specific needs into account.

Healthcare

Sterile barriers, regulated packaging, traceability and multi-material formats create constraints that limit straightforward substitutions. The challenge is to identify the flows that can change without compromising product safety.

    FAQ

Yes, provided that your service provider has an agreement with an approved eco-organisation for the EPR scheme for professional packaging. This enables the necessary conditions to be put in place to receive the financial support provided for professional packaging waste management.

No. Twiice’s role is not to challenge an effective system, but to identify how it can be strengthened and how its performance can be recognised financially.

Twiice works with you to design materials suited to your activities, sector and internal organisation (signage, short training sessions and monitoring indicators) to embed good sorting practices on the ground over the long term.

Twiice helps you structure your internal management: identifying the people responsible, defining reporting processes and preparing for possible inspections. The aim is to give you a clear, lasting overview that goes beyond the annual declaration alone.

The financial arrangements depend on the nature and volume of the professional packaging you place on the market. The eco-contribution you pay finances packaging collection, recycling and reuse, as well as the tools, guidance and financial support offered by Twiice. Depending on your activity, you may also benefit from financial support to accelerate your projects.

Your regulatory obligations continue to apply regardless of membership. If you do not join, you lose access to structured support and to the financial support for which your organisation may be eligible, and you may be exposed to the penalties provided for under the French Environmental Code.
