Déclaration

Declare and pay your eco-contribution

Have you joined Twiice and obtained your Unique Identifier (IDU)? It is now time to declare the professional packaging you place on the market. This declaration is used to calculate your eco-contribution and finance packaging collection, reuse and recycling.

MyTwiice and our teams support you at every stage, from preparing your data to paying your contribution.

Unsure which packaging flows are subject to EPR?

Complete the analysis in a few questions.

I prepare my data

A reliable declaration starts with well-prepared data. You do not need to know everything immediately: the aim is to gather the information required to identify the packaging subject to EPR.

Identify my flows

Start by listing the packaging you purchase, manufacture or dispatch. The packaging concerned is packaging whose waste is generated by a professional user.
Twiice tip: involve your procurement, logistics and sales teams from the outset, as they often hold the most useful information.

Categorise my packaging

Each packaging item is linked to the Twiice nomenclature: material, packaging type, classification (including hazardous or contact-sensitive packaging) and whether it is reusable.
The nomenclature is built into MyTwiice, so you do not need to memorise it.

Gather my information

Prepare the material, packaging type, weight, any specific characteristics such as food contact or hazardous contents, and the entities concerned. The Members’ Guide sets out the information required.

How do I declare?

Detailed declaration

Declare all your packaging. Your contribution is calculated using the actual volumes and materials placed on the market.

Simplified declaration (for small producers)

Intended for small businesses.
Conditions: less than 4 tonnes placed on the market per year. Flat-rate contribution: €100 excl. VAT.

I calculate my eco-contribution

Your declaration is used to calculate your eco-contribution. This contribution finances the collection, sorting, reuse and recycling of professional packaging.

How is it calculated?

The amount depends in particular on the materials, the quantities placed on the market, treatment costs and regulatory targets.
Twiice tip: our online eco-contribution calculator helps you estimate the amount and prepare your declaration.

How can I reduce my contribution?

Some packaging benefits from eco-modulation, particularly packaging that supports reuse: reusable packaging benefits from a reduced contribution, while packaging that has already been reused is not subject to a new contribution.
Twiice tip: our teams support you in developing reuse.

Incorporate recycled materials

From 2027, a premium is planned for packaging incorporating recycled plastics (IMPR premium).
Twiice tip: Twiice supports your recycled-plastic supplier through certification, so that you can secure the associated eco-modulation premium over the long term. Our responsible purchasing platform, MyRecycledContent, helps you identify available solutions.

I pay my contribution

Once your declaration has been validated, your contribution is calculated and your invoice is available in MyTwiice. Payment can be made by SEPA direct debit or bank transfer, or by bank card for amounts up to €1,000 incl. VAT.

The payment schedule varies depending on the declaration year and the amount of your contribution.

The risks of non-compliance

Declaring and paying the eco-contribution are regulatory obligations. In the event of non-compliance, the French Environmental Code provides for administrative and financial penalties, including:

  • a fine of up to €7,500 per unit or tonne placed on the market
  • a daily penalty payment of up to €20,000 until the situation is remedied
  • an additional fine of up to €30,000 for failure to register in SYDEREP (the French national EPR register), incorrect data or absence of a Unique Identifier (IDU).

Joining Twiice simplifies your procedures, but you remain responsible for the accuracy of the information you declare.
